July Update

It has been months since I last posted. I didn't expect to be so busy with other areas of my working/personal life. Writing my debut novel, book one in 'The Evolved Series' and dealing with the many other aspects that go along with that has taken me away from creating any new content.

I am hopeful that at some point soon, I will be able to find time to upload the content I have already completed. Fingers crossed. I do not imagine it will be this month. I still have a large amount of work to complete before the end of July.

Still Hard at Work

Although I've been quiet over the last week or so, I can assure you that I'm still hard at it.
I've been tidying, updating and organising custom content on my PC. It is amazing how many redundant or duplicate files you can accumulate over the course of a decade. It had gotten to the point it was really driving me insane, so I decided to bite the bullet and finally do something about it. Plus, it meant that my backups to Onedrive and Google Drive weren't also filled with unneeded files/folders that were just taking up space.
I have also been updating a tonne of my older content. The horrendous Sims 2 creations I made way back in 2007/2008 and was so proud of at the time. Naturally, after a decade of using Photoshop, I like to think that I have improved quite a bit and can bring my older stuff up to present day standards. So expect a few Sims 2 updates soon.
I still have a few site bits and pieces to do. I want to add a page to add my favourite colour palettes, the ones I use heavily in my CC.
I am also in the process of tidying up the SailfinSims site files. Not sure what I really want to do in that regard. Ultimately, I want the former resident creators CC, organised, upload to Onedrive and off my PC. However, that will take time.
Well, time to get back to it.

Painted White Wood Half Wall Panels

UPDATED: (05/03/17) to include custom swatches.
The Fabulous FHRA requested opposite versions of the Painted Wood Half Wall Panels. White panels with coloured mouldings. I thought that would be really cool, so I obliged. Yeah, who am I kidding, any excuse to dive back into Photoshop! As always each wall is compatible with all 3 wall sizes.

Walls can be found in Build Mode-> Paint or Panelling Category.

Plain Wood Wall Siding

UPDATED: (04/03/17) to include custom swatches.
Today I bring you Plain Wood Siding in 8 colour variations. I made these for Sims 2 quite some time ago, so I thought I would add them to Sims 4, now we can!
Each wall is compatible with all 3 wall sizes and naturally is a seamless texture.

This is a texture I made quite sometime ago, but like everything else in my pending folder, it gets forgotten about. I have been working through my pending projects over the last couple of days and decided to finish these up and release them. The Parquet Wood Flooring comes in 10 colour variations.

Brick Wall Set

UPDATED: (26/02/17) to include custom swatches.
This is a brick texture I originally made for Sims 3 as a pattern. I loved it so much I couldn’t wait to add it to Sims 4 as a wall set. The set consists of 7 brick walls in a variety of colours with coordinating grout. I really hope you enjoy using these in your game. As always, these walls are compatible with all 3 wall sizes.
These Walls can be found in Build Mode – Masonry.

FHRA requested these walls with a lighter grout finish. So I have added the file below. You can have both versions installed if you wish. I have also added screenshots.

It's Coming Along...Slowly!

As you may have noticed I am making some progress with not only the site but with adding my custom content downloads.
The aim is to have it mostly complete by the end of the week.
I have added multiple download links to each file, Onedrive and Google Drive. These are direct links so the zip file will download immediately and you won't be taken to another page. I am hoping to add SimFileShare links to that at some point. These have now been added! Thanks to Engram Pixels for the invite code.
I also need to give a huge shout out to Peacemaker (Peacy) because in my haste to get this site up and running (have never used blogger before) I took a lot of inspiration from his website set-up/layout. Especially the way in which he tags/labels his downloads. So all credit to Peacemaker for that.

SailfinSims is now Dragon Black Sims

SailfinSims has a new website and domain. Dragon Black Sims is now the new home for all my Sims custom content.
Why you may ask?
I thought it was time for a change. 2016/17 has seen a lot of changes with not only my personal life but my business endeavours too. I am trying to simplify my life and make better use of my time. (Which there never seems to be enough of.)
Granted this will have no effect on you, the wonderful simmers that download my custom content and my downloads will always remain free.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be adding/updating my custom content and ensuring that there are multiple links for each download. Google, Onedrive and possibly SimFileShare. The aim is to move away from site hosting to something a little more reliable/long term and avoid broken links etc in the future.
The SailfinSims domain is still active and will remain that way for the time being. In meantime, it will automatically redirect visitors here.
I will try and update the outdated/broken links that are floating around the internet as soon as I can.

Ribbed Rug Set

UPDATED: 16/02/17. Now customizable in-game. Please remove previous versions.
This is the Ribbed Rug Set. The Ribbed Rug has an almost cord-like texture with a smooth fabric border. Comes in 6 colour variations. More colour/pattern options will be added once I finish my current pending items. Custom swatches have been added so you can easily identify them in-game.

Stone Tile Wall & Floor Set - Muted

The Stone Tile Wall & Floor Set consists of 10 Floors in a variety of two-tone muted natural colours. Included in the set, is 10 Half (more like 3 quarter) Tile Walls with white wood base skirting, white wood dado and painted upper half. Both walls & floors have a white grout finish in the tile area. As always each wall is compatible with all 3 wall sizes.

Sims Custom Content -Updates

Morning Simmers.
Hope you’re well. I thought I would send a little good news your way. I am currently updating all my custom content and working on some new goodies! I have managed to nail down my schedule and have found some time to devote to sims. I have managed to set aside two days per week (Sunday/Monday) to work on SFS and update/create content.
I hope that I can keep this schedule going for some time, however, I run a small business and am currently writing a book series, so this may change in the future.
As you will have noticed, most of my custom content is missing from the site. Items will be added back as I update them. A few items have already been updated and will be uploaded later today. I am trying to get everything back online quickly, so I will spend the remainder of this week doing just that.
If there is anything you would like to see on the site first, please leave a comment below and I will try to prioritise it.
